Over the past few weeks, several high level meetings have taken place between American and Israeli officials:

  • Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg, Undersecretary of Defense Michael Flournoy, and National Security Council Director for Israel and Palestinian Affairs Prem Kumar traveled to Israel this week
  • Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak arrived in the United States this week to meet with Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Senate Defense Appropriations Committee Chairman Daniel Inouye (D-HI)
  • National Security Advisor General James Jones, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen, and CIA Director Leon Panetta visited Israel this month

High level talks will also continue next month when Vice President Joseph Biden visits Israel. These meetings confirm that US-Israel relationship remains strong and that President Barack Obama understands the seriousness of the existential threats facing Israel.

US - Israel relationship have traditional unbreakable bonds, as a friends and Allies.
I believe that the most important first step for Israel is get a full International recognition of
there borders, and that Jewish people will live in permanent peace and prosperity with all
neighbors. I am optimist about Israel future !
