The Forward: U.S.-Israel Arms Cooperation Growing

David Streeter — December 17, 2009 – 11:02 am | Comments (0) Add a comment

The Forward reports:

Israeli officials have been singing the praises of President Obama for his willingness to address their defense concerns and for actions taken by his administration to bolster Israel’s qualitative military edge— an edge eroded, according to Israel, during the final year of the George W. Bush presidency.

The remainder of the article delves into the specifics of U.S.-Israeli military cooperation. But, as President Barack Obama closes out his first year, it is important to note two things:

  1. Military cooperation between the United States and Israel has increased
  2. President George W. Bush let Israel’s qualitative military edge “erode”

After one year in office, there should be no doubt that Obama supports Israel.
